On June 29, the Oceanside Chess hosted its first rapid tournament in Qualicum Beach. Players from across Vancouver Island joined, marking a milestone in the club’s journey.

We are thrilled to announce on June 27, Robert McFetridge from the Bishops of Bowser donated a staggering 19 clocks, 20 boards, and 200 score sheets to Oceanside Chess!

Planning has begun for the first annual Oceanside Rapid, scheduled June 29, 2024. The event will be a fundraiser to help raise money to support the club in its need for new clock and boards.
