Meet GM Samy Shoker
Chess Grandmaster. Chess Boxing World Champion. Samy Shoker isn't your typical GM. When he's not grinding out wins at 2600 blitz Elo, he's stepping into the ring as the European Middleweight Chess Boxing World Champion — a sport that alternates rounds of speed chess with rounds of boxing. Based in San Diego, Samy brings that same intensity and showmanship to every board he touches. Now he's bringing it to Vancouver Island for the very first time.

After the simul, GM Shoker will gather the group for a two-hour session (2:15 PM – 4:15 PM) where he'll walk through key positions from the games, break down his decision-making in real time, and take your questions.
